Among the records of Negro & Mulatto Children in
Franklin County in he Commonwealth of Pennsylva
for the Term of twenty eight years is the following.

On the eleventh day of December in the year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
ninety two Ruhamah Colhoon widow of
Doctor John Colhoon of Chambersberg decd
appeared before me the subscriber and on
her solomn oath returned her mustee or
Mulatto Child named James Scoals, born
on the thirteeth day of August last past
according to the best of her knowledge,
to be recorded
